Classmates meet for their 40th and final reunion. I have never attended a high school reunion. However, these people go through all the thoughts that people must go through who are going to attend. When they arrive at the reunion, many act exactly like they did in high school including wishing to be with only their own groups. I liked that Elizabeth Berg seemed to really be able to be in touch with what these people are experiencing. Her descriptions of the characters seem real and their lives are real. Some novels I have read starting about age 35, the author describes characters as still having some beauty or it is amazing that they are still active and have interesting, fun lives or even that their brains are still working. Still don't think I will ever attend a high school reuntion !
