Roth's writing style (very wordy, lots of adjectives and run-ons) is not my favorite, but it is a change of pace. I did feel this plot dragged on a bit, but the character development was very thorough.

This is not the first time I have read this but it is the first time I have read it to Rowan. I love these books and we are working our way through them. I had tried to get Rowan to let me read them a few times but after seeing the movie she was way into the idea of reading them. I do tend to change the names some times calling her Rowan when I read out loud but the books are even better then I remember them. It could be because I am reading them to my own little Ramona!
