I do believe that when you think positively, you generate good energy that allow you to attract and find practical ways to get the good things in life but to say that I can “feel” my way to health, wealth and happiness is just crap! In real life, bad things happen to good positive people and good things also happen to mean, negative jerks! This book didn’t add anything new, it was very repetitive, boring and unrealistic. What a waste of my money!

I loved Me Talk Pretty One Day and Naked, but this book shows that Sedaris can do more than just essays. I don't care for his animal fables, but the fiction half of this book is really great. And of course the Santaland Diaries are a riot.

Started reading tonight and just finished- 1 o'clock AM. This is such a wonderful true story! It really opens your eyes to Peru and third world countries in general. Evens did a BEAUTIFUL job of telling the story as well as making you love the characters! It is a very moving book! I sat down with the intent to either watch Letters to Juliet or read this book a friend lent to me YEARS AGO. I tried starting a while ago but just never had time to read so I just sat down and read... and read...and cried....and laughed...and finished the book. I'm very glad I did! This book has some very intense moments! And thay surprised me honestly. It kept me awake--good sign! kept me entertained and kept on pulling at my heart! Thank you Sarah Wight ((now Christensen)) for letting me steal your favorite book for all of these years. ((I feel bad that I had it for so long because A: it was her fav. B: her room was decorated in sunflowers because of this book and C: I really have had it for YEARS.... I would die if someone had my fav book for even a month. I'd better do sonething nice for her :) )) It was a very moving book. These are just a FEW of the quotes I loved from the book! : "We carry around in our heads these pictures of what our lives are supposed to look like, painted by the brushes of our intentions. It's the great, deep secret of humanity that in the end none of our lives look the way we thought they would. As much as we wish to believe otherwise, most of life is a reaction to circumstances. -Paul Cook's Diary" (page # 269) "Love is stronger than pain" and I think that's reason enough to read it. HAPPY READING!
