Những câu chuyện khá hài hước về những gì nó giống như làm việc trong một chi nhánh của thư viện công cộng LA.
Great story of Operation Redwing, the heroic last stand of 3 members of SEAL Team 10, and the dramatic survival of Marcus Luttrell. The first half of the book details the intense training required to join the ranks of the Navy SEALs; inspiration for anyone who thinks they have a grueling workout regimen. The second half takes us through the actual combat in the mountains of Afghanistan. This is a must read first-hand account of an overwhelming firefight, and the extreme valor shown by all 4 SEALs. Had to subtract a star for the political commentary and vitriol against a 'liberal media'. Understandably Luttrell's guilt over a crucial decision leaves him searching for some rationalization. It's hard to fault him for that. But the off-hand dismissal of Abu Ghraib, and justfications for the Iraq war make it hard to overlook. All-in-all a highly recommended read.
I think this is the best Mercy Thompson book to date. I was rather glad to bid goodbye to the vampires for awhile. I like the way the relationship is developing for Adam and Mercy.
