In The Namesake, a young man is born to parents recently immigrated to Boston area from India. Growing up American style, this young man fights against the ways of his Bengali parents, and especially detests his name, Gogol. But a life-changing event opens his eyes to the internal conflict he has been struggling against. this is being made into a movie, set to release in March.

What can I say? This man writes as a woman better than many chicks do. I'm pretty sure he's my soul mate. Oh...the book was excellent,too!
