This was the first Kurt Vonnegut book I ever read, given to me by my step-father. Probably not the greatest choice of books to give to an impressionable 13-year-old, because it completely affected the way I think about things ... if you've ever heard me rant about chemical reactions being more responsible for our personalities than emotions, this book is why. So, definitely not the best Kurt Vonnegut book, but an excellent example of his Unique (capital "u") point of view and writing style.
